Description

  • Proactively source, map, and engage passive technical talent for priority roles across software engineering, UX/UI, digital product, and DevOps teams.
  • Design and execute search strategies using Boolean search, semantic search networks, GitHub, and other professional networks.
  • Develop detailed talent maps using non-traditional data sources, open source platforms, publications, and conference analysis.
  • Partner with recruiters and technology leaders to clarify technical hiring needs and refine candidate profiles.
  • Screen passive candidates through inclusive conversations to assess fit, alignment, and technical aptitude.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by building relationships with underrepresented communities in technology.
  • Build, maintain, and segment digital pipelines and talent pools in Greenhouse CRM.
  • Track, analyze, and present sourcing metrics to leadership and recommend strategy adjustments.
  • Write customized outreach messages that communicate NPR’s mission and technical impact.
  • Support planning and execution of virtual diversity recruitment events and technical meetups.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting research, recruitment sourcing, or full-cycle recruiting in technical domains.
  • Proven success sourcing candidates across areas such as AI, machine learning, software development, product management, and systems engineering.
  • Experience using ATS and CRM systems, with strong preference for Greenhouse.
  • Demonstrated ability to use targeted search techniques, including advanced Boolean search and technical talent mapping.
  • Experience creating outreach programs to increase representation of historically marginalized communities in technical spaces.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical opportunities to candidates.
  • Experience collaborating with technology leaders and stakeholders, including leading client meetings and delivering client-facing solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, human resources, communication, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience sourcing technical roles in digital media, public broadcasting, or multimedia production.
  • Preferred involvement or relationships with organizations supporting diverse technologists, such as Black Girls Code, TechLatino, or Out in Tech.
