Description

  • Lead the design, optimization, and scaling of real-time data ecosystems and event-driven pipelines for personalized audience experiences.
  • Design self-service frameworks, governance standards, and APIs that enable teams to use data and personalization tools independently.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of modern architecture standards across product lines.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight for complex engineering projects spanning multiple teams and systems.
  • Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders on OKR planning, roadmap development, and technical reviews.
  • Mentor peers through design reviews, code standards, security and privacy alignment, and cost optimization practices.
  • Participate in deployments, define CI/CD best practices, troubleshoot production incidents, and join the on-call rotation after onboarding.
  • Support onboarding, inclusive hiring, and continuous process improvements within scrum teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and leading solutioning and architecture planning in a multi-team environment.
  • 5+ years of experience designing systems with scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency as first-class concerns.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP and infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
  • 5+ years of experience building applications across web, mobile, voice, APIs, and system integrations using modern languages and frameworks.
  • Experience integrating with external APIs and services.
  • Ability to design and lead practical technical design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in real-time integrations and data-centric applications that support personalized user experiences at scale.
  • Expertise in data governance strategy and implementation.
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture.
  • Fluency in Node/TypeScript and Python.
  • Experience with high-traffic consumer applications, including SEO, browser performance, and CDN configuration concerns.
  • Experience with data privacy and compliance requirements such as GDPR and CPPA.
  • Experience with test and development automation.
  • Experience using version control systems, with Git preferred.
  • Experience with cost optimization, forecasting, and trade-off analysis for high-availability systems.
  • Preferred: experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Snowflake, or medallion architecture implementations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with machine learning architectures, Elasticsearch, or DynamoDB.
  • Preferred: history of contributing to open-source software projects or public technical communities.
