Description

  • Lead a team of 3-5 web engineers as a hands-on technical lead.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize consumer-facing 3D web applications.
  • Develop high-performance web architecture, APIs, and features that connect the user, 3D graphics engine, and microservices cloud platform.
  • Own and drive technical roadmaps for the web engineering team.
  • Serve as the trusted technical partner for product managers, designers, leadership, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with service teams to design, build, and improve an integrated customer experience across online and in-store channels.
  • Promote healthy engineering practices through code reviews, software design reviews, and test automation.
  • Coach and motivate the distributed engineering team to improve products, codebases, processes, and practices.
  • Coordinate complex technology work across distributed teams and partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of substantial experience in full-stack engineering with production web codebases and ownership of systems at scale.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend development and React or equivalent component frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping complex distributed systems, including API design, microservices integration, and performance-critical architectures.
  • 3+ years of experience leading small engineering teams of 3-6 engineers on business-critical projects, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong foundations in computer science and software engineering.
  • Fluency with internet web technologies and modern full-stack web application tech stacks.
  • Familiarity with web DevOps and QA best practices for effective testing.
  • Experience with consumer internet applications is strongly desired.
  • Experience with complex applications involving 3D rendering, real-time rendering, video streaming, or other highly interactive systems.
  • Advanced English level is required for working with US clients.
  • Ability to adjust schedule for meetings with Europe; Eastern Time location is preferred.
  • Appreciation for consumer experience and visual aesthetics is preferred.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced distributed engineering environment; startup experience is preferred.
