Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and agency end users in assigned territories and new markets.
  • Develop and manage a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Create customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Visit client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to generate opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate market, competitive, and customer intelligence to the company.
  • Provide price quotations, contract or credit terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support inside sales with quote generation, data entry, and identification of funding opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, file expense reports, and update calendars and sales schedules.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Ability to work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, Salesforce, and internet research.
  • NetSuite or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
