Description

  • Exceed assigned revenue and profit goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain sales opportunities, account management, and end-user relationships with assigned agencies and departments.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan and geographic strategy with input from the Director of Army Field Sales.
  • Manage and report a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Prepare price quotations, product specifications, demonstrations, and process orders while establishing credit/contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Travel to client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to cultivate sales opportunities.
  • Learn and utilize internal CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders; assist Inside Sales with data entry and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing reports, maintaining sales records, filing expense reports, and maintaining a Google calendar of client calls, travel, and pipeline.
  • Develop marketing strategies to generate leads within the region and implement an inside/outside team approach for territory/customer strategy and vendor relations.
  • Actively develop and communicate competitive and customer intelligence, and collaborate with customers on product development, improvements, or modifications.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense, Military, Federal Agencies, and Law Enforcement.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations and events.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, meet deadlines, and take ownership of the sales process.
  • Skillful negotiation and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite, plus strong internet research skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce; familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
