Description

  • Build and manage routing schemes for toll-free and termination traffic to maintain efficient network performance.
  • Monitor voice traffic to verify expected routing and troubleshoot issues using reporting and diagnostics.
  • Handle carrier routing issues, including risk mitigation, cost analysis, and service restoration.
  • Provide carrier traffic forecasts to anticipate and manage network demand.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve problems and provide status updates.
  • Work with business partners to support projects, resolve issues, and handle work requests.
  • Perform data profiling to identify anomalies and prevent revenue loss.
  • Send monthly target rate profiles to carriers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor carrier traffic capacity and initiate augments when needed.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Power BI reports and Telelink-7 reporting.
  • Process and load rate decks to Sonus/Ribbons SBCs for optimal routing.
  • Serve as a technical resource for colleagues and may lead teams or projects in complex situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with TDM and SIP networks at the enterprise or carrier level.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and VoIP capacity planning.
  • Expertise in SIP trunks, carrier trunking, centralized voice architecture, and session border controllers.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and testing TDM and SIP circuits and equipment.
  • Proficiency in voice protocols including SIP, H323, MGCP, and SCCP.
  • Experience troubleshooting SIP call issues, analyzing call traces, and resolving TDM/PSTN problems.
  • Experience in voice traffic analysis and trunk recommendations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Visio.
