Description

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models under the guidance of data scientists.
  • Experiment with different algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems.
  • Research state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and related development opportunities.
  • Acquire geospatial data and identify open-source software to parse data.
  • Review research and development requirements and opportunities.
  • Visualize data and present findings to the team.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and efficient.
  • Work within team projects under the supervision of a full-time mentor.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of internet research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • No prior work history is necessary.
  • Availability to work approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.
  • Candidates living in a HUBZone may receive special consideration.
