Description

  • Own and drive the data and analytics strategy, roadmap, and execution across the organization.
  • Scale and mentor a high-performing team spanning data engineering, analytics, and platform.
  • Partner with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to surface insights that inform business strategy and drive user growth and retention.
  • Empower Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams with tools, frameworks, and self-serve access to make data-informed decisions.
  • Architect and evolve a scalable data platform, including pipelines, warehouse infrastructure, and self-serve capabilities for internal and external users.
  • Own the data catalog and ensure data assets are well-documented, discoverable, and understood across the organization.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, monitoring, and remediation processes to ensure trustworthy data.
  • Establish and maintain a data governance framework covering ownership, access controls, and data definitions.
  • Own the BI environment in Tableau and self-serve analytics tools such as Heap and Pendo, ensuring accurate reporting and broad data availability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of data experience, including 2+ years leading teams across data engineering, analytics, warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Hands-on and strategic leadership approach, with the ability to jump into details to unblock the team.
  • Strong mentorship ability and a track record of developing talent.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and facilitating alignment across teams.
  • Proven experience building and owning data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data catalog practices from the ground up.
  • Direct experience with BigQuery and GCP as core data warehouse and cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, including the ability to write, review, and improve code.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for transformation and Dagster for orchestration.
  • Experience with Tableau for enterprise BI and self-serve reporting.
  • Experience with product and web analytics tools such as Heap and/or Pendo.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Background check required as part of the pre-employment process.
