Description

  • Oversee daily operations of the global billing team and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual billing cycles are completed with 100% accuracy.
  • Manage usage-based billing processes and ensure data integrity between product telemetry and financial systems.
  • Identify billing workflow bottlenecks and implement automated solutions to reduce manual touches and errors.
  • Act as the primary cross-functional liaison between Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to resolve complex contract billing setups and disputes.
  • Maintain internal controls for billing processes and support external and internal audit requests.
  • Partner with Business Applications and technical teams to enhance, troubleshoot, and own the billing tech stack (e.g., Billing Platform, NetSuite, Salesforce).
  • Establish and enforce a unified credit lifecycle process with clear accountability across AEs, Collections, and Deal Desk to reduce operational friction.
  • Own and maintain the Global Billing Process Playbook, documenting and optimizing processes for standard invoicing and complex amendments.
  • Identify manual reconciliation workflows and collaborate with technical teams to design and deploy RPA/automation solutions.
  • Drive improvements to shorten the month-end/financial close cycle and perform under high-pressure close timelines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Billing or Revenue Operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role within a SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS billing models, consumption-based billing, and deferred revenue accounting.
  • High proficiency with billing engines/Billing Platform (or similar such as Zuora), Salesforce, and NetSuite.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience pivoting and analyzing large datasets to find billing discrepancies.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation or RPA and partnering with technical teams to deploy automated reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex billing logic to non-technical stakeholders and customers with empathy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience transitioning from fixed-subscription to consumption-based billing (preferred).
  • Experience operating in a high-volume billing environment (10k+ invoices monthly) (preferred).
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; ability to pass a criminal background check is required and export compliance assessment may be required for certain roles.
