Description

  • Conduct on-site supplier assessments focused on manufacturing execution and operational performance.
  • Evaluate production planning, scheduling, level loading, capacity utilization, and scalability.
  • Assess plant layouts, workflow, material movement, WIP controls, and process discipline.
  • Identify bottlenecks, constraints, throughput limitations, and systemic operational risks.
  • Review operational KPIs, visual management, daily management practices, and standard work adherence.
  • Evaluate equipment readiness, maintenance, tooling availability, workforce training, and overtime reliance.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve manufacturing performance and readiness.
  • Support corrective action development, validation, supplier risk assessments, and overall readiness evaluations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations leadership, industrial engineering, production planning, or operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, production scheduling, capacity planning, and factory operations.
  • Experience evaluating high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of material flow, WIP management, operational KPIs, and constraint management.
  • Experience with operational turnarounds, supplier recovery, or manufacturing transformations preferred.
  • Strong observation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to identify operational risks in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Salary of $140,000–$170,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
