Description

  • Collect, verify, and submit online and paper enrollment applications for hospitals and physicians with out-of-state Medicaid payers.
  • Develop and maintain state-specific enrollment policies and procedures.
  • Monitor Medicaid enrollment requirements, regulations, and compliance obligations.
  • Educate internal teams and operations leadership on enrollment requirements and updates.
  • Submit timely re-enrollment applications to maintain provider enrollment status.
  • Manage work queues and meet payer-specific deadlines for forms, license updates, deficiency notices, and approval letters.
  • Maintain provider files and document provider changes, corrections, and terminations in the database.
  • Protect PHI and confidential company information through appropriate privacy and security practices.
  • Prioritize multiple projects, meet productivity targets, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of healthcare experience in billing or collections.
  • At least 1 year of client-facing or customer service experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of enrollment requirements and documentation needed to complete applications accurately.
  • Knowledge of provider credentials and licenses, such as hospital licenses, CLIA, DEA, NPI, and board certifications, preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, remain productive under pressure, and maintain regular attendance.
  • Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the workday and routinely operate computers and office equipment.
