Description

  • Support and manage level 3 tickets, product features, and capabilities for Network Security technologies, including Security Service Edge and next-generation firewalls.
  • Create documentation and provide instructions to lower-level teams supporting network security products and technologies.
  • Partner with IT and business groups, including End-User, CLOUDx, Network Services, and Enterprise Technology, on network security activities.
  • Perform L3 engineering support, including troubleshooting issues and escalating to OEM vendors when needed.
  • Provide end-to-end support and management of network security products, especially Security Service Edge technology.
  • Partner with Information Technology and Information Security during incident response activities.
  • Assist with security events and incidents alongside Cyber Security Operations as appropriate.
  • Provide input to management on risk profile, emerging security trends, and risk management strategies.
  • Recommend configuration changes and enhancements to improve protection and productivity across infrastructure environments.
  • Evaluate firewall rule and access requests to ensure alignment with security and IAPP policies.
  • Use Firewall Assurance tools to support compliance checks, automation, and security analysis.
  • Support process development for firewall rule and access requests and lead firewall policy cleanup and hygiene.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience deploying, configuring, and administering Cisco firewalls.
  • Experience with Cisco firewall, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS, and Cisco ISE.
  • Hands-on experience with network protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience securing a large internetwork by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.
  • Experience managing site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
  • Experience resolving network connectivity failures and complex network issues.
  • Strong understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model.
  • Ability to read packet captures using Wireshark or PCAP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to communicate and present across all management and organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering preferred.
  • CCSP or higher preferred.
  • Experience managing network and security technologies preferred.
