Description

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines using platforms such as Spark, Databricks, Airflow, and Snowflake.
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, validate data integrity, and inform product and business decisions.
  • Design data models with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support analytics and real-time insights.
  • Write maintainable Python code with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Benchmark and measure product operations, and publish scorecards and reports.
  • Identify opportunities from customer and business data to improve product quality and customer experience.
  • Own end-to-end feature delivery in an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Contribute to policies, processes, and tools addressing product quality challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend software development.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one orchestration tool such as Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
  • Experience with relational databases including RDS, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous systems.
  • Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to AI/ML solutions or collaboration with data science teams.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA; familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM-based systems is preferred.
