Description

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Amazon EMR and/or AWS Glue.
  • Author and maintain ETL/ELT code in PySpark and SQL to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Design and implement data models and support end-user querying on Amazon Redshift or Snowflake, Amazon Athena, and Presto.
  • Build, maintain, and operate pipeline orchestration using Airflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance of data pipelines and data models.
  • Document technical designs and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Research and evaluate new AWS data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PySpark and SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Amazon EMR or AWS Glue.
  • 2+ years of experience with data modeling and supporting end-user querying using Amazon Redshift or Snowflake, Amazon Athena, and Presto.
  • 1+ years of experience building and maintaining pipeline orchestration using Airflow.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with stakeholders.
  • Preferred: AWS Data Analytics Specialty certification and experience with Agile development methodology.
