Description

  • Define OFCI equipment scope with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Review and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets.
  • Ensure equipment and procurement plans meet data center design criteria for redundancy, fault tolerance, and uptime.
  • Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and vendor compliance matrices.
  • Issue RFQs and RFPs for critical data center infrastructure equipment.
  • Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations, vendor interviews, and design alignment workshops.
  • Negotiate contracts covering performance guarantees, availability, FAT requirements, delivery milestones, and warranties.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead electrical, mechanical, and controls equipment.
  • Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules and coordinate FATs, inspections, and change control.
  • Develop logistics, delivery, commissioning, and handover plans for oversized and critical equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience and technical training.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Proven experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment.
  • Strong understanding of critical power and cooling systems.
  • Experience with FATs, commissioning, and contractor coordination.
  • Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent reliability frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and local codes is preferred.
