Description

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data center construction projects from site selection support and preconstruction through Level 5 commissioning and operational handover.
  • Manage general contractors, architects, MEP engineers, specialty subcontractors, and vendors to ensure milestones and design intent are met.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including utility power, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, and air- and liquid-cooling infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, identify critical-path risks, and implement recovery plans to protect delivery timelines.
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, contingency, forecasting, and pay applications.
  • Own the commissioning process with the commissioning agent to ensure scripts, acceptance criteria, and turnover requirements are met before energization.
  • Enforce a strong safety culture, including safe work in energized electrical environments and live critical facilities.
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on schedule, budget, risk, and key decisions.
  • Oversee long-lead equipment procurement and vendor coordination to mitigate supply-chain risk.
  • Support due diligence for site selection, including utility power availability, fiber, water, and constructability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction project management experience, with at least 3 years delivering data centers or comparable mission-critical facilities.
  • Direct working knowledge of data center MEP systems, including power distribution, redundancy topologies (N+1, 2N), UPS, generators, and air and liquid cooling.
  • Familiarity with the commissioning process and Uptime Institute Tier standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar budgets and complex, schedule-driven projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong command of project controls, scheduling software such as P6 or MS Project, and construction management platforms such as Procore or similar.
  • Excellent contractor and vendor management skills with the ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining productive relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
  • Willingness to travel to and be on-site at project locations as required.
  • Experience delivering for hyperscale or colocation clients is preferred.
  • Exposure to liquid-cooling deployments and high-density rack environments is preferred.
  • PMP, CCM, or relevant OSHA certifications are preferred.
  • Experience managing projects in greenfield or speculative-build environments is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of application and provide proof of employment eligibility upon hire.
