Description

  • Drive day-to-day cash collection across a customer base and consistently pursue overdue balances.
  • Manage credit control activities and customer statement administration.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection status, customer communications, and dispute progress in CRM and billing systems.
  • Investigate and resolve billing queries, reconcile discrepancies between ledgers and customer records, and identify recurring dispute patterns.
  • Prioritise collection activity based on value, age, and risk to ensure no accounts are missed.
  • Escalate high-value or complex cases, including credit notes and write-offs, to management when appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with customers to secure timely payment commitments and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Provide the AR & Billing Manager with clear, ongoing visibility into collection risks, statuses, and escalations.
  • Use AI tools to draft and improve customer communications, analyse aged debt trends, and automate repetitive administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role managing a high volume of customer accounts.
  • Experience consistently pursuing overdue balances and delivering credit control outcomes.
  • Strong ability to investigate and resolve complex billing queries and reconcile ledger discrepancies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritise based on value, age, and risk.
  • Experience issuing accurate customer statements and maintaining detailed records in CRM and billing systems.
  • Ability to recognise when to escalate complex cases such as credit notes and write-offs.
  • Willingness and ability to use AI tools to support communication drafting, debt analysis, and process automation.
  • Must currently live in the UK and hold a valid, permanent right to work in the UK.
  • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
