Description

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming manner.
  • Schedule new referrals and patient visits received by fax or telephone.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and collect payments at the time of service.
  • Create an inviting clinic atmosphere and support a positive customer experience.
  • Make welcome calls and help influence patient arrival rates.
  • Manage daily practice operations, including schedules, document routing, deposits, and non-clinical documentation.
  • Track caseload, discharge candidates, progress notes, insurance reporting, and clinic inventory.
  • Complete required compliance training and other business process updates.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Director to support efficient clinic procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in revenue cycle, Medicare, and commercial insurance in a high-production environment; 3 years preferred.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance reimbursement processes.
  • Experience researching, tracking, and resolving unpaid, denied, or pending claims.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with payers, patients, and leadership.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.
  • Efficient time management and presentation skills as a team member.
  • Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing software, and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations.
