Description

  • Investigate revenue opportunities and use Databricks data to size, scope, and measure product changes.
  • Design, build, deploy, and operate production ML systems, including batch inference, online services, and online learning models.
  • Develop personalization, experimentation, and automation solutions using feature stores and model registries.
  • Partner with Product, Mobile Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to integrate ML into user-facing features.
  • Monitor the performance and business impact of ML-powered features.
  • Implement lineage tracking for data, code, and model artifacts to support compliance, reproducibility, and security.
  • Improve data pipelines supporting experimentation and machine learning.
  • Mentor data scientists and establish best practices for advanced analytics and ML development.
  • Use Claude Code and other AI tools for data discovery, modeling, and experiment evaluation.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a statistically rigorous field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 6+ years of experience scoping, building, and analyzing ML-powered systems, including production-shipped models.
  • Strong experience with Python, scikit-learn, PySpark, causal inference, testing, modularization, and version control.
  • Professional experience applying modern causal inference and causal analysis techniques.
  • Experience with data instrumentation, transformations, and complex analysis or ML system development.
  • Hands-on consumer technology experimentation experience, including experiment design, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Experience building ML systems or running experiments at a B2C technology company, ideally involving subscriptions, transactions, or advertising.
  • Strong communication, project leadership, cross-functional influence, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using LLMs in advanced data processing and analysis workflows.
  • Preferred: digital advertising, ranking and feed algorithms, feature stores, model registries, subscription products, revenue forecasting, geospatial data, or mobile location services.
  • Ability to use AI tools daily, critically review AI-generated work, take ownership of shipped outputs, and share AI workflows with the team.

  • US salary range of $175,000–$218,000; Canada salary range of $171,500–$202,500, plus RSUs.
