Description

  • Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partners.
  • Review and approve expense requisitions and flag items outside budget parameters.
  • Develop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reporting.
  • Create ad-hoc analyses and business forecasts.
  • Support the accounting close process and audit reporting.
  • Design and implement scalable processes and procedures to report key business metrics.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction and process improvement projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet financial and corporate goals.
  • Handle protected health information (PHI) in paper and electronic form in compliance with privacy and security requirements.
  • Complete required HIPAA/PHI privacy, policy compliance, and security training within the first 30 days and maintain current training status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VBA macros, and lookup functions.
  • Experience with financial systems, business applications, and database tools such as QlikView.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving moderate to complex financial issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects while identifying dependencies and risks.
  • Experience supporting an R&D or Engineering organization is preferred.
