Description

  • Own and evolve Mozilla’s 3-to-5-year long-range financial model and turn strategic goals into actionable forecasts.
  • Conduct market sizing and segmentation analyses, including TAM, SAM, and SOM for existing and emerging businesses.
  • Oversee the performance, health, and strategic alignment of Mozilla’s direct investments and venture portfolio.
  • Partner with subsidiary leadership to synthesize market intelligence and assess financial impacts of industry shifts.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a small team of strategic finance professionals.
  • Advise senior leadership and business unit heads with concise financial narratives for board and executive reviews.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Product leaders to evaluate build-versus-partner decisions, joint ventures, and ecosystem deals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, Corporate Financial Planning, or Management Consulting.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Experience building complex, scalable, risk-adjusted financial models from scratch.
  • Strong command of strategic frameworks, market sizing methodologies, and corporate/portfolio management practices.
  • Proven ability to work across decentralized business units, cross-functional teams, or corporate subsidiaries.
  • Experience turning ambiguous strategic questions or fragmented data into structured financial frameworks.
  • Deep alignment with Mozilla’s mission and its focus on privacy, open-source, and public-benefit technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business.
  • MBA or CFA charter is a strong plus.
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, or consumer internet sectors is preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools in financial modeling is preferred.
