Description

  • Develop or co-develop and execute the product roadmap for one or more emerging business products.
  • Define and deliver product requirements based on customer needs and operational limitations.
  • Manage product performance and support needs across multiple internal functions.
  • Develop quantitative product performance indicators and analyze performance data to drive improvements.
  • Identify business opportunities and build business cases and financial models.
  • Conduct voice-of-customer interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to validate features and support market growth.
  • Support product marketing with positioning, launch planning, pricing, and collateral content.
  • Create written, data-based presentations and arguments to gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Provide internal and external stakeholders with updates on product progress, vision, and roadmap.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to move products from concept through obsolescence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in physical science, life science, statistics, or engineering.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in product management, product/solution marketing, product commercialization, or strategic consulting.
  • Experience with rare disease products/education (WGS/WES), medical devices, or diagnostics preferred.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry preferred.
  • Strong project and process management skills required.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint required.
  • Basic financial/economic modeling skills required.
  • Proven excellence in written and oral communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborate effectively across functional areas.
  • Scientific or technical project lead experience from research and development roles may be considered if accompanied by applicable analytics, product development, or project management experience.
