Description

Implement new product features and extend existing frontend capabilities.
Build shared frontend platform components for internal products and ecommerce storefronts such as Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Translate product requirements and Figma designs into accessible, high-performance UI components.
Own frontend architecture decisions and uphold code-quality standards with senior engineers.
Mentor teammates through code reviews.
Contribute to development and maintenance of backend services primarily in Golang and Node.js.
Deploy code and infrastructure components within GCP-based environments using CI/CD practices.
Work with PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable.
Build and support RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Own live, consumer-facing claim experiences end to end, including storefront integrations, widgets, and claim-decisioning workflows.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, high-quality systems.
Experience building consumer-facing applications with a frontend framework such as React, Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember; React is preferred.
Experience building software with Node.js or Golang.
Experience developing consumer-facing applications that consume APIs from a microservice backend.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
Knowledge of the full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals.
Strong focus on code quality and code reviews.
Experience mentoring other engineers.
Previous startup experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to work from Canada within EST/EDT or PST hours.
AI-first development approach, using AI tools such as Claude as a primary engineering workflow.

Benefits

Fully remote work.
Annual salary range of CAD $141,000 to $198,000.
Annual bonus eligibility.
