Description

  • Direct and mentor a team of five Accounting Operations Specialists, providing goals, feedback, support, and performance coaching.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and identify improvements.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting.
  • Manage retailer accounts receivable reconciliations, customer deposits, factoring reconciliations, and revenue and discount reconciliations.
  • Resolve escalated issues involving vendor payments, invoice generation, credit confirmation processing, and fee deductions for overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare for external audits and ensure required documentation and reports are complete.
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards.
  • Implement performance improvement plans and corrective actions when needed.
  • Lead workflow and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on high-priority issues and communicate regular updates to senior management.

Requirements

  • 5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in accounting operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team in a remote environment.
  • Previous customer-facing experience in finance, accounting, or logistics is highly preferred.
