Description

  • Directly manage and mentor a team of five Accounting Operations Specialists, setting goals, providing support, and delivering performance feedback.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting.
  • Manage retailer accounts receivable reconciliations, customer deposits, factoring reconciliations, and revenue and discount reconciliations.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to vendor payments, invoice generation, credit confirmation processing, and fee deductions for overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare for external audits and ensure required documentation and reports are ready.
  • Monitor team performance against SLAs and quality standards using key metrics.
  • Implement performance improvement plans and corrective actions when needed.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and provide regular operational updates to senior management.

Requirements

  • 5 years of General Ledger accounting experience.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in accounting operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team in a remote environment.
  • Previous customer-facing experience in finance, accounting, or logistics is highly preferred.
