Description

  • Define and own customer-facing hybrid cloud architectures for Azure-based managed services.
  • Design, standardize, and evolve multi-tenant managed service platforms aligned with SLAs, SLOs, security, and operational standards.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement with production storage and backup systems and lead complex technical escalations.
  • Architect resilient platforms with monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor during architecture reviews, workshops, QBRs, and customer engagements.
  • Translate business requirements into secure, supportable architectures and support presales solution design, scoping, and risk assessment.
  • Lead 24x7 operations, major incident response, customer communications, and post-incident reviews.
  • Drive reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operational readiness for new customer onboardings.
  • Mentor senior engineers and architects while influencing technical strategy, tooling, and managed service offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of enterprise storage and backup administration and engineering experience.
  • 5+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure for enterprise or MSP customers.
  • Deep hands-on experience administering storage, backup, recovery, and production enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing Dell storage and backup solutions.
  • Dell backup/data-protection certification in Avamar, Data Domain, or PowerProtect, plus a Dell PowerScale or PowerMax certification.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, project management, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Ability to support 24x7 operations, including occasional evening, weekend, and on-call work; U.S.-based candidates required.
  • Preferred experience with hybrid cloud architecture, networking, identity, security, Cisco, containers, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, ITIL, SRE, regulated environments, and cloud modernization.
  • Azure Architect certification and additional Azure certifications are preferred.
