Description

  • Define and lead enterprise infrastructure strategy and managed services delivery across storage, virtualization, HCI, compute, and disaster recovery.
  • Establish multi-year roadmaps aligned to hybrid cloud adoption, consumption-based infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Advise executive stakeholders on infrastructure modernization and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee architecture and standardization of enterprise storage, virtualization, HCI, and hybrid compute platforms.
  • Govern platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and refresh planning.
  • Lead adoption and optimization of HPE GreenLake and Dell APEX platforms.
  • Develop hybrid compute models that integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Own disaster recovery strategy, including replication, failover design, testing, and business continuity validation.
  • Partner with managed services leadership to improve delivery quality, scalability, and automation.
  • Set KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics, and drive continuous improvement in incident response, problem management, and capacity planning.
  • Lead client assessments, roadmap development, executive briefings, and pre-sales support.
  • Build, mentor, and lead teams of architects and engineers, including managers.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, Dell PowerFlex, and enterprise storage platforms.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure environments across hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery, replication technologies, and business continuity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with consumption-based infrastructure models such as HPE GreenLake or Dell APEX.
  • Ability to align infrastructure strategy with business and financial objectives.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks, operational processes, and managed services delivery models.
  • Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and large-scale infrastructure optimization.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • 15-20+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, including 10+ years in leadership roles and 5+ years in people leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in an MSP or consulting organization.
  • Prior experience leading and developing managers.
  • Proven track record of growing a business in close collaboration with sales executives.
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-prem and public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience building or scaling managed services portfolios and delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, ServiceNow, and scripting frameworks.
  • Strong financial acumen related to infrastructure cost models and consumption-based services.
  • Prior experience building or turning around high-performance managed services teams.
  • Prior experience implementing and scaling ITIL and LEAN process frameworks.

  • Base salary range of $175,000-$275,000 in New York City, plus bonus and/or commission opportunities.
