Description

  • Establish and manage processes to identify, evaluate, and source datasets for civic engagement partners.
  • Validate newly acquired datasets through schema review, field-level analysis, completeness checks, and anomaly detection.
  • Clean, standardize, and prepare external datasets for integration using SQL and scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with Data Success, Partner Success, and Research teams to identify data gaps and sourcing strategies.
  • Monitor ongoing data quality and flag degradation, inconsistencies, or compliance concerns.
  • Build and share internal processes for dataset evaluation, vendor onboarding, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training for internal teams on new datasets.
  • Support partner campaign activities and work in the Organizer platform when capacity allows.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong operational management skills to build and own processes with timeliness and quality expectations.
  • Strong communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders on data strategy and partnerships.
  • Moderate knowledge of SQL, including complex queries and manipulation of large datasets.
  • Moderate experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Ability to proactively identify and fix issues in a large, complex data environment.
  • Experience with voter files, election data, or other datasets containing personally identifiable information (PII) is a plus.
  • Experience implementing data quality control best practices with internal and external stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience training stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy is preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Sigma or Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience with workplace productivity and collaboration tools, especially integration-based workflows such as Asana, Slack, Jira, or Monday, is preferred.
