Description

  • Embed security into Firefox, Mozilla VPN, and other mission-critical products.
  • Integrate security throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Anticipate, prioritize, and mitigate application risks through threat modeling, security assessments, testing, and automation.
  • Perform security code reviews.
  • Lead penetration testing on web, mobile, and embedded applications and guide remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain automated security tests within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with engineers to design secure solutions and facilitate secure releases.
  • Define and enforce security policies and provide guidance to development teams.
  • Help shape Mozilla's security culture through collaboration, guidance, and education.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in product and application security.
  • 5+ years of experience with secure coding practices, application security testing (SAST, DAST), threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, and CI/CD automation tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with modern architecture and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Real-world experience, curiosity, passion, and a builder’s mindset are valued more than formal credentials.
  • Remote-friendly and open to most locations in the US and Canada.
