Description

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and execution for privacy-preserving advertising products, including targeting, search suggestion monetization, and ad formats.
  • Lead rapid hypothesis testing and experiment-led product development to improve ad relevance, user experience, and advertiser ROI while protecting privacy.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across Ads Engineering, Data Science, Firefox Platform, Design, Legal/Policy, Trust & Safety, Finance, and GTM.
  • Translate product strategy into clear product requirements, cross-team plans, and actionable technical and design feedback.
  • Partner with engineering and design to create user-first ad experiences and performant services for decisioning, delivery, and measurement.
  • Partner with business development and sales to structure deals and launch supply and demand integrations such as PMP, SSP/DSP, and measurement solutions.
  • Define product terms, API/SDK requirements, success metrics, pricing, and packaging for strategic partnerships.
  • Build the experimentation and measurement infrastructure for Ads, including instrumentation, dashboards, event quality, and KPI tracking.
  • Deliver executive-ready narratives, PRDs, and decision memos to align leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor platform and regulatory changes and convert market signals into product strategy for privacy-preserving advertising.
  • Represent Mozilla’s perspective on trustworthy ads and open standards through industry engagement and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management or adjacent technical roles, including 5+ years building performance advertising products at meaningful scale.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of technical products from concept through launch and iteration, with business and reliability outcomes.
  • Experience in two-sided marketplaces, including bidding, ranking, pacing, and measurement.
  • Working proficiency with data and experimentation, including SQL, dashboards, A/B testing design, and causal and observational analysis.
  • Track record of influencing across Engineering, Research, Data, Security/Privacy, and GTM teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for PRDs, decision documents, and executive-level narrative storytelling.
  • Commitment to Mozilla’s values, including welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practicing responsible participation, and having grit.
  • Preferred experience working with content or surface teams on ad format design and layout.
  • Preferred experience operating in ambiguous 0-1 environments and scaling successful bets from 1-n.
  • Preferred technical fluency with ML systems and modern cloud/data stacks.
