Description

  • Develop, train, tune, and run machine learning models on company data to answer key questions.
  • Integrate and maintain ML models within software products.
  • Monitor model inference outputs to detect and assess performance degradation over time.
  • Build feedback mechanisms with end users to continuously improve model performance.
  • Develop and integrate new analytical algorithms for large-scale datasets.
  • Guide teams on the ethical, appropriate, and values-driven use of AI/ML.
  • Support dataset review, model training, and evaluation work involving harmful content.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of data analytical experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience fine-tuning and training machine learning models and integrating ML/AI into software products.
  • Working knowledge of NLP and classification techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with model evaluation methodologies, calibration, and performance metrics.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python.
  • Strong working knowledge of large-scale data management, processing, and analysis.
  • Experience with relational and file-based data systems, including MySQL, Athena, and parquet.
  • Strong data architecture and data modelling skills.
  • Understanding of modern engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, and source code management.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and GCP.
  • Ability to learn quickly across technical and business problem spaces.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with complex data and operate effectively in ambiguous, high-trust environments.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland and pass any required security clearance.
  • Desirable: familiarity with online harms, including violent extremism, disinformation, and gender-based violence.
  • Desirable: experience with Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Desirable: experience integrating models into data pipelines.
  • Desirable: security and data protection awareness in software delivery.
  • Desirable: experience in a fast-paced, agile environment with dynamic priorities.

  • €85,000 - €90,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 30 days' paid annual leave, excluding public holidays.
