Description

  • Act as incident commander during live fraud attacks and coordinate containment and response across teams.
  • Lead complex fraud investigations from initial alert through root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Assess fraud case severity and escalate high-risk cases to the Manager or Compliance when needed.
  • Execute rapid containment actions such as blocks, freezes, and restrictions to reduce fraud exposure.
  • Review, build, implement, and tune fraud detection rules to improve accuracy and reduce false declines.
  • Backtest rule logic against historical data and monitor rule performance in production.
  • Run quality assurance reviews on BPO fraud analyst casework and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Build and QA AI-powered agents and automation workflows to improve fraud detection and investigation efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, ML, and Compliance teams on fraud mitigation strategies and tooling.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for internal reviews and external audit requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in fraud detection, prevention, and investigation, preferably in financial services, payments, or e-commerce.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex fraud investigations through root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Hands-on experience building, implementing, tuning, and backtesting fraud detection rules.
  • Strong understanding of fraud typologies, attack vectors, and emerging trends in crypto and digital payments.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, or BI tools.
  • Excellent critical thinking and risk assessment skills under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Clear professional communication skills for writing case notes, escalations, and cross-functional updates.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to identify problems and drive solutions to completion.
  • Preferred experience in cryptocurrency or blockchain, SQL or Python coding, AI/ML-powered fraud systems, blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic, QA oversight of BPO teams, and chargeback or card scheme fraud programmes.
