Description

  • Embed the long-term design vision for support experiences across customer journeys, internal systems, and human service.
  • Lead large end-to-end design initiatives across ambiguous problem spaces, including AI-enabled help experiences, internal tooling, and operational workflows.
  • Design service experiences that account for what happens beyond the interface and across multiple touchpoints.
  • Design support journeys across the app, phone, and human-led service channels.
  • Navigate tradeoffs and guide strategic product and design decisions.
  • Coach and support other designers through critiques, feedback, and vision-setting.
  • Raise the bar for design craft and product excellence across the organisation.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to define product strategy and turn it into actionable plans.
  • Address systemic challenges, reduce complexity, and improve conditions for teams to deliver impactful work.
  • Represent Design across the company and mentor designers to help them grow and contribute more broadly.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in a specific design discipline with strong foundational product design skills.
  • Comfort designing for AI and automation-enabled environments.
  • Experience working on complex service ecosystems connecting digital products to real-world operations, people, or logistics.
  • Strong ability to improve collaboration between humans and technology in service experiences.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact design work that influences customer outcomes, company metrics, and commercial goals.
  • Excellent visual, UI, and interaction design skills, including complex interaction design.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead work in complex, fast-changing environments.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate organisational goals into actionable plans.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience improving ways of working.
  • Passion for growing design teams through hiring, onboarding, and scaling resources.
  • Pragmatic, proactive approach to balancing quality with getting the work done.
