Description

  • Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand how users interact with Monzo’s products and how those insights shape product strategy.
  • Guide product teams to measure the metrics that matter and support or run A/B experiments to improve outcomes.
  • Work with the finance team to build a company-wide understanding of user lifetime value and the profitability impact of product features.
  • Liaise with engineers to ensure the right data is collected for meaningful business insights.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, marketers, and product managers in cross-functional squads.
  • Contribute across different Data Science areas such as Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Fincrime, Wealth, or Core.
  • Participate in the hiring process across multiple stages and help match team needs with candidate strengths.
  • Help Monzo make better, faster decisions through real-time analytics and self-serve data access.

Requirements

  • Solid grounding in SQL.
  • Preferably experience with Python.
  • Experience conducting large-scale A/B experiments.
  • Comfort working hands-on and thinking strategically.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate numbers into business context.
  • Impact-driven and proactive in identifying and tackling issues and opportunities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional squads in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience or interest across data science domains such as Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Fincrime, Wealth, or Core is preferred.
  • Availability for a hiring process that typically takes 2-3 weeks, with flexibility around candidate availability.

Benefits

  • Salary of £80,000 to £95,000.
