Description

Manage the day-to-day delivery of accountability regimes including SMCR and IAF/SEAR.
Run business-as-usual activities for fit and proper assessments, certification, accountability processes, governance documentation and regulatory reporting.
Coordinate team priorities and keep operational delivery on track.
Act as a subject matter expert on accountability and people governance for internal stakeholders.
Build and evolve the people governance framework, including people-related risk, controls, decision-making and organisational change.
Identify and deliver improvements to processes, controls and tooling to improve efficiency and scalability.
Partner with People, Legal, Compliance, Risk & Controls, Company Secretariat, the Board and other business teams to land decisions.
Support audit, assurance and regulatory engagement with evidence, papers, reporting and process management.
Use data and insight to identify themes, spot risks and prioritize improvements.
Work with the People Governance & Accountability Lead on higher-risk issues and strategic changes.

Requirements

Strong experience in a regulated environment, ideally in governance, compliance, risk or legal.
Hands-on experience with SMCR in a UK dual-regulated FCA/PRA firm.
Familiarity with IAF/SEAR or other accountability regimes.
Experience translating regulatory or policy requirements into clear processes, training and guidance.
Experience planning and leading projects end to end.
Strong collaboration skills and experience bringing together diverse stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including governance papers and senior-level discussions.
Comfort building relationships with senior stakeholders and presenting to senior forums.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Confidence using data and judgement to make pragmatic recommendations.
Experience improving ways of working and building more effective, reliable processes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment balancing control, pace and practicality.
