Description

Lead the data strategy to help Monzo make money management simpler for customers.
Develop and execute experimentation best practices to support data-informed decisions.
Set standards for working with data across the company and improve data practices through knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and research leaders to build and iterate on product ideas.
Work across multiple Data Science areas, including Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Fincrime, Wealth, or Core.
Mentor other data scientists and analytics engineers.
Use data to define and measure success for new products and features.
Apply new data techniques to solve challenging business problems.

Requirements

Experience working with cross-functional, fast-moving teams.
Ability to think strategically about commercial products and how data can unlock customer value.
Interest in mentoring data scientists and analytics engineers.
Strong interest in experimentation and new data techniques.
Ability to understand complex data and build foundational knowledge for new products and features.
Opinionated approach to measuring success and willingness to challenge the status quo.
Versatility to contribute across multiple data science squads.
Experience with business fit/collaboration, case study, and technical interview processes is expected.
Interest in a lead-level data science role within a fast-growing company.

Benefits

£95,000 to £130,000 salary.
Incentive awards tied to performance.
