Description

  • Own the annual group ICAAP process and ensure it is delivered on time and aligned with internal and external requirements.
  • Own the annual review of the recovery plan and ensure it remains aligned to regulatory requirements and the group’s evolving structure.
  • Implement requirements linked to the Group’s resolution strategy and ensure compliance with Resolution Assessment Framework requirements, including OCIR, VIR, and COA.
  • Support capital planning activities, risk appetite setting, ALCO reporting, and KRI maintenance for Financial Risk.
  • Assess the impact of future prudential regulatory change and work with relevant teams to adapt processes and controls.
  • Support the broader financial risk team in delivering wider objectives.
  • Lead a high-performing team and support colleagues’ development needs while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Interpret regulations independently and manage projects to implement required changes across the bank.
  • Deliver important regulatory messages to Finance leadership and senior stakeholders across the business.

Requirements

  • Proven prudential regulatory experience at a bank, consultancy, or regulatory body.
  • Expertise in ICAAP and recovery and resolution planning.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and the ability to interpret their impact in a bank context.
  • Ability to understand financial projections and analysis techniques used to quantify risk.
  • Experience coordinating, participating in, and leading projects that produce regulatory deliverables.
  • Ability to maintain prudential documentation and supporting materials.
  • Experience identifying relevant data, performing analysis, and understanding business impact.
  • Strong relationship-building experience with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in learning and working on areas of the regulatory regime not previously explored, particularly in a new bank context.
