Description

  • Monitor open-source, dark web, and underground forums for threats relevant to Moniepoint and the financial sector.
  • Track ransomware groups, stealer malware, phishing campaigns, brand impersonation, and fraud-related threats.
  • Collect and organize indicators of compromise such as domains, IPs, URLs, hashes, and malicious infrastructure.
  • Perform basic triage and analysis of threat data to determine relevance and risk.
  • Identify adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures and support mapping to MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and ad-hoc threat intelligence reports.
  • Share relevant intelligence with SOC, Fraud Operations, Product Security, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in validating alerts, external threat reports, and investigations related to phishing, account takeover, and third-party risks.
  • Maintain threat logs, actor profiles, and intelligence repositories.
  • Support incident response tasks, post-incident analysis, and vulnerability scans and assessments when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts including malware, phishing, ransomware, and fraud.
  • Familiarity with OSINT concepts and publicly available intelligence sources.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Good written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • 3–5 years of experience in SOC, incident response, or threat intelligence (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Pyramid of Pain, or Diamond Model (preferred).
  • Good knowledge of SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence tools, and OSINT tools (preferred).
  • Exposure to fintech or financial-sector threats is an advantage.
  • Security+ or EC-Council CTIA certification (preferred).
