Description

  • Lead the QA function across multiple engineering teams and define scalable quality standards, strategies, and frameworks.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop QA Analysts and Engineers through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Design and enforce test strategies covering manual, automated, regression, performance, and exploratory testing.
  • Build dashboards and metrics to track QA performance, bug leakage, regression rates, and related quality indicators.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and engineering leadership to review requirements, technical documentation, and code when needed.
  • Act as a gatekeeper of quality to ensure products are production-ready and user-focused before release.
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tooling, and team effectiveness.
  • Promote strong product understanding within the QA team so test cases remain relevant and thorough.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to strengthen the overall quality culture.
  • Transform testing data into actionable reports and insights that guide product health and team performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including 4–5 years leading engineering teams.
  • Strong programming skills in Java with a focus on tooling and automation.
  • Experience testing APIs, microservices, mobile native applications, and web applications.
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and cloud infrastructure such as GCP and Docker.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and pub-sub technologies.
  • Experience with non-functional testing, including performance, security, and monitoring/alerting.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-based test generation or test impact analysis.
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading small-to-medium teams.
  • Hands-on technical experience, including coding and a solid understanding of software development.
  • Experience owning and overseeing system architecture for large-scale, secure, and scalable platforms.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration, trust, and transparency across diverse teams.
  • Ability to mentor, recruit, and grow engineering talent in a continuous-learning environment.
  • Background as a QA Analyst or QA Engineer, with a strong understanding of the role from the inside out.
  • Experience designing and evaluating test strategies and measuring test effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills and a mentorship-first mindset.
