Description

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and daily oversight to the KYC Support team.
  • Review high-risk client files and risk assessments and escalate complex cases for final approval.
  • Oversee and improve due diligence workflows, document validation processes, and risk classification standards.
  • Drive timely periodic, trigger-based, and event-driven client reviews in line with regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and complete audit trails for all KYC-related documentation.
  • Serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders facing KYC documentation or onboarding issues.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Data & Document Management, and Customer Success teams on KYC support and risk alignment.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to internal KYC procedures.
  • Support the development and delivery of KYC training for the team and cross-functional partners.
  • Generate regular performance and risk exposure reports for management decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in KYC, client onboarding, compliance, or risk management.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team in a financial services or fintech environment.
  • Strong understanding of business account onboarding and SME/corporate documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of AML, CBN KYC Guidelines, and FATF Recommendations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in KYC systems and tools is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
