Description

  • Investigate fraud attacks, quantify their impact, and present findings that inform prioritization and response.
  • Propose and refine rule-based fraud mitigations with fraud operations and engineering teams.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track fraud trends, rule performance, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with fraud operations, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to turn insights into action.
  • Proactively identify emerging fraud patterns and flag risks before they escalate.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (Fraud) or in a similar role, with accomplishments able to offset experience gaps.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and the ability to write complex queries across large datasets.
  • Experience in fraud, risk, or financial services and understanding of fraud attacks and mitigation trade-offs.
  • Some exposure to Python or scripting for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency with a BI tool such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Redash.
  • Proficiency with a spreadsheet tool such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams with shifting priorities.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with data governance, Python or another scripting language, and Git or another version control tool.
