Description

  • Investigate fraud attacks, quantify their impact, and present findings that support prioritization and response.
  • Propose and refine rule-based mitigations with fraud operations and engineering.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track fraud trends, rule performance, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with fraud operations, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to turn insights into action.
  • Identify emerging fraud patterns and flag risks before they escalate.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (Fraud) or in a similar role, with accomplishments able to offset experience gaps.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries across large datasets.
  • Experience in fraud, risk, or financial services and understanding of fraud attack and mitigation trade-offs.
  • Some exposure to Python or scripting for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency with a BI tool such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Redash.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly to teams and senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Plus: experience with data governance.
  • Plus: experience with Python or another scripting language.
  • Plus: experience with Git or another version control tool.
