Description

  • Own and evolve the platform foundation for MongoDB’s Application Modernization Platform.
  • Stand up or significantly expand core platform capabilities from the ground up.
  • Drive service hosting, API gateway, identity and access management, observability, telemetry, and error logging initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering teams across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI-related efforts.
  • Define platform scope, priorities, and roadmap in conditions of high ambiguity.
  • Translate complex infrastructure requirements into product decisions for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Define and track reliability metrics such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Guide teams toward measurable reliability and operational goals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall professional experience, including 4+ years in product management focused on platform, infrastructure, observability, or SRE.
  • Deep technical fluency in cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on familiarity with API gateway configuration, service mesh patterns, and microservices architecture.
  • Working knowledge of authentication protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Working knowledge of authorization models including RBAC and ABAC.
  • Experience with at least one full observability stack, including metrics collection, distributed tracing, and centralized log management.
  • Proven ability to define and manage reliability metrics such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building or scaling a SaaS or application modernization platform, or product management experience for platform, infrastructure, or DevOps products at an enterprise technology company.
  • Preferred: prior experience evaluating or deploying LLM orchestration layers or AI/ML platform tooling.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI observability tooling.
  • Preferred: experience with multi-agent system design patterns, including tool use, memory, planning loops, and guardrails.
  • Preferred: background at a company with an India engineering hub and experience in a globally distributed engineering organization.
