Description

  • Lead the development, refinement, and execution of a scalable HR compliance framework across the Americas, including policy, training, audits, and program roadmaps.
  • Build and reinforce a culture of compliance and best practices across the People Team and the broader organization.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal HR policies and processes.
  • Directly manage the Americas immigration and global mobility program through a team member, ensuring regulatory compliance and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with Employee Relations and HR leadership to provide compliant, risk-based guidance on employee matters.
  • Work closely with Global Risk & Compliance to align on controls, policies, processes, audit activities, and remediation.
  • Lead compliance audits and risk assessments, including documentation, manager training, systems approvals, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to create, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, and escalation frameworks.
  • Partner with Legal to interpret regulatory changes and translate them into practical guidance.
  • Design and deliver compliance training for HR staff, managers, and employees, and prepare compliance reporting for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience applying U.S. employment law across multiple states.
  • 3+ years of experience building and implementing HR compliance programs, including policies, audits, and training.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Employee Relations, and/or Risk/Compliance functions.
  • Experience supporting audits, including controls, documentation, and remediation.
  • Experience delivering compliance training to HR and/or managers.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-paced, or high-growth environments.
  • Experience working in multi-state or complex organizational environments.
  • Master’s degree or JD preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-country HR compliance programs, especially across the Americas or globally, preferred.
  • Experience overseeing or partnering on immigration and global mobility programs, preferred.
  • Experience working in a public company or SOX-regulated environment, preferred.
  • Experience in the technology industry or another high-growth environment, preferred.
  • Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent preferred.
