Description

  • Take ownership of security program areas such as fuzzing, threat modeling, secrets management, or container security.
  • Support engineering teams responding to security issues by providing risk analysis and proof of concept work.
  • Lead and contribute to complex security projects from inception through completion.
  • Drive security architecture, patterns, and processes across Server Engineering.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design and implement security controls across software and systems.
  • Research new attacks and perform product security assessments, including architecture review, threat modeling, code review, penetration testing, and security consulting.
  • Serve as a security subject matter expert for software security and architecture.
  • Educate the engineering organization through CTFs, lunch-and-learns, and one-on-one mentorship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in application security, software security, or product security.
  • Strong C++ programming experience and experience securing low-level codebases.
  • Experience identifying and remediating memory-related security flaws such as buffer overflows and memory leaks.
  • Scripting experience and ability to contribute code to internal environments.
  • Comfort leading threat modeling and acting as a security ambassador to engineering teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong sense of ownership and delivery.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative conversations and provide actionable feedback.
  • Subject matter expertise in database security or data security (preferred).
  • Knowledge of database engines, database internals, or applied cryptography (preferred).
  • Experience partnering with security researchers on vulnerabilities that become published CVEs or acting as a CNA (preferred).
