Description

  • Support the sales and delivery of application modernization engagements.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions with customer architects, developers, and business leaders.
  • Partner with sales teams to shape multi-threaded account strategies and align MongoDB and ecosystem resources.
  • Install and deliver complex demonstrations using multiple applications deployed on Docker and GitHub Codespaces.
  • Advise on modernization approaches for legacy applications, including decomposing applications into services and modernizing them on MongoDB.
  • Work with customers on modern software development processes and architectures, such as agile, domain-driven design, microservices, test-driven development, event-driven architectures, and test automation.
  • Contribute to designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technology and business leadership.

Requirements

  • 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 5 to 7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, and/or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with modern software development processes and application architectures.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers is preferred.
  • Experience with database programming and data models is preferred.
  • Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects is preferred.
  • Experience transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable, and efficient technology stacks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies/frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is preferred.
  • MongoDB Certification is preferred.
  • Cloud Provider Certification is preferred.
  • Must be located in North America near an airport for travel to customer sites in North America or Europe.
  • Role is based remotely in Ireland.
