Description

  • Manage and oversee U.S. international tax compliance and timely filing of Forms 5471, 8858, and 8865, along with foreign tax credit calculations.
  • Provide technical expertise on U.S. international tax planning and optimization involving GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credits.
  • Support preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions, with a focus on international tax reporting under ASC 740.
  • Conduct research on U.S. international tax laws, treaty benefits, and legislative changes, and translate findings into recommendations for leadership.
  • Partner with finance, legal, accounting, and other teams on tax-efficient cross-border transactions, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
  • Support tax process improvement efforts, including automation, efficiency enhancements, and use of tax software tools.
  • Assist with tax audits and examinations by U.S. or foreign tax authorities, including documentation and information requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; CPA, JD, or an advanced degree in Taxation such as an MST is strongly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant U.S. international tax experience in public accounting, a corporate tax department, or consulting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax laws, including GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, and treaty applications.
  • Proficiency in ASC 740, particularly as it relates to international tax provisions.
  • Working experience with U.S. compliance software such as Corptax, OneSource, or similar tools.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and communicate recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work from MongoDB’s Austin office or remotely within the United States.

  • Base salary range of $90,000 to $176,000 USD for U.S.-based candidates.
