Description

  • Lead the Identity & Security Product Management team delivering IAM, Queryable Encryption, and customer-facing security features across the MongoDB platform.
  • Drive product requirements for regulated customer security and compliance needs into MongoDB products.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to execute the security product strategy.
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap for identity and security ownership areas in partnership with engineering counterparts.
  • Create strategic, operational, and tactical recommendations to improve customers’ security posture and compliance positioning.
  • Evangelize MongoDB security solutions at industry conferences, trade shows, and with key partners and accounts.
  • Develop strategic narratives with customers and industry thought leaders around database security and identity.
  • Define security go-to-market strategies and manage programs to execute them with regional and global sales leadership.
  • Identify market, competitive, and customer trends to inform prioritization, functionality, solutions, and pricing.
  • Align security product decisions with broader product, customer, and company priorities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing teams and demonstrating leadership across diverse viewpoints.
  • 10+ years of product and/or engineering security experience with enterprise-focused technologies and customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences and global enterprise customers.
  • Experience or expertise in one or more relevant certifications: CEH, GSEC, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISA, SSCP, CASP+, OSCP, AWS Solution Architect Pro, AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, or cloud-provider equivalents.
  • Working knowledge and/or hands-on experience with identity and access management, operating system and platform security, network security, and database security.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in IT security and risk management.
  • Experience with cloud-native products and an in-depth understanding of microservice topologies and implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and proactively solve business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Experience transforming traditional data center security measures into cloud technologies.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to partner effectively with engineering on technical decisions.
  • Comfort speaking authoritatively on tools and topics such as Jira, Aha, AWS, GCP, Azure, Okta, bug bounties, DLP, secure web browsing, and data classification.
