Description

  • Lead and own the editorial calendar and content strategy aligned to priority practice areas, key geographies, and client journeys.
  • Plan, write, and edit high-volume long-form and on-site content including practice area pages, city/location pages, blogs, guides, FAQs, attorney bios, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Interview attorneys and subject-matter experts and translate complex legal insights into clear, empathetic, and accessible content.
  • Partner with the SEO Manager to optimize content for search (SEO), answer engines (AEO), and emerging AI/LLM behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing, Director of Marketing, and paid media partners to align content with campaigns, webinars, distribution strategies, and new market launches.
  • Provide modular content and source material for social, short-form video, webinars, and email/HubSpot lifecycle campaigns.
  • Coordinate PR, thought leadership, media placements, podcast appearances, and referral/co-marketing partnerships with therapists, financial planners, and other partners.
  • Own awards nomination calendar, research, submissions, and tracking for attorney, staff, and firm awards.
  • Maintain a content inventory, regularly audit and refresh content for accuracy, local/state compliance, and firm-aligned voice; ensure adherence to state bar and legal advertising guidelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of content marketing, legal writing, copywriting, or editorial experience (in-house or agency) within the legal industry.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Portfolio demonstrating long-form educational content (articles, guides, landing pages, resource hubs) that builds trust and drives conversions.
  • Practical PR/earned media experience, including coordinating placements, supporting expert commentary, or running contributor programs.
  • Demonstrated interviewing skills and ability to convert attorney input and complex ideas into clear, structured content.
  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and experience measuring content performance and impact on lead generation.
  • Familiarity with family law topics (divorce, custody, support, prenuptial agreements) or a strong interest and ability to learn quickly.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Adobe tools, and Zoom; comfortable working across CMS, SEO tools, and analytics dashboards.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, judgment on tone and client sensitivity, collaboration skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection and a productive home workstation; availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
