Description

  • Lead end-to-end production of long-form blog content, from brief creation through publication.
  • Collaborate on topic selection, priorities, and content refresh decisions with the Discoverability Lead.
  • Write thorough, opinionated briefs for freelance writers and guide them through the editorial process.
  • Edit and manage freelance writers to maintain high editorial standards and quality consistency.
  • Own the full content workflow, including coordinating supporting assets needed for each piece.
  • Identify when content requires internal or external expert input and manage contributor collaboration.
  • Brief or coordinate visuals, diagrams, and other supporting assets to strengthen each article.
  • Use editorial judgment to decide what content should be created, when it should be published, and what should be refreshed over time.
  • Review performance data and use it to inform content decisions alongside editorial instincts.

Requirements

  • Exceptional editorial taste and high standards for B2B content quality.
  • Strong writing ability, with the capacity to produce great copy when needed.
  • Experience gathering information from internal stakeholders and external subject matter experts.
  • Awareness of AEO and how AI-powered search and LLM visibility affect content strategy.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS and an understanding of B2B buyer behavior and SaaS marketing.
  • Experience owning a content operation, including freelancers, editorial calendars, and end-to-end workflow.
  • Strong communication skills for giving actionable feedback and presenting content opportunities.
  • Comfort with content performance data and knowing when to rely on analytics versus editorial judgment.
  • Genuine fluency with AI tools and automation in a working context.
  • Keyword research experience, including search intent, keyword sizing, and competitive gap analysis (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with programmatic SEO concepts and how content projects work with engineering (nice to have).
  • Experience in a startup or early-stage environment where things were built from scratch (nice to have).
  • Domain knowledge in influencer marketing or the creator economy (nice to have).
